Developer Advocate, Integrations Experience specialization

As a Developer Advocate (with a specialization in Integrations Experience), you’ll be Neptune’s voice in the open-source community and a communication bridge between our Product and Engineering teams and users, customers, and prospects. Your goal will be to discover use cases and build integrations with tools in the MLOps ecosystem. We want you to become a trusted advisor in the user’s eyes and a thought leader in the MLOps community.

We are a VC-backed startup building a product for Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists in the exciting Machine Learning Operationalization (MLOps) area. We design Neptune to be extensible, flexible, and lightweight to ensure it fits any workflow and keeps up with this fast-paced field.

Our values:

  • Own it: we take ownership, no excuses. We trust that if you need it, you will look at the data, learn, ask for feedback or help, and collaborate to make things happen. You get total freedom to do it your way.
  • Make an impact: balance strategy with execution, learning, and proactiveness to create the most significant impact. Understand the reason why you are doing things but don’t overthink it. Make the most use of your skills, and remember – it is the impact that matters.
  • Be direct: Be honest, be authentic, don’t waste time, get to the point, drop filters, say what you mean. You can share your feedback with anyone. We all benefit from understanding each other better.

In this role, you will:

  • create specifications and build open-source integrations with ML and MLOps tools;
  • create example projects, how-to guides, videos, and other technical content that present Neptune’s integrations;
  • maintain and specify improvements for existing integrations;
  • engage with ML communities to discuss MLOps topics and gather insights on the shape of the MLOps tools stack today;
  • build partnerships with relevant dev-tool companies from the MLOps space.

Our requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT (technical roles);
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, ML Researcher, ML Engineer, or similar;
  • Excellent English skills – written and spoken (preferably native level);
  • Understanding of the ML world – problems, tool stack, the preferred form of interaction;
  • Experience in presenting technical products to technical audiences, including preparing necessary assets;
  • Hands-on proficiency with popular ML Python libraries, including, but not limited to PyTorch, TensorFlow, XGBoost, HuggingFace, scikit-learn, and others;
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills;
  • Desire to learn new concepts.

Nice to have:

  • 1+ years of work experience in operating production models;
  • 1+ years of professional experience in the DevRel or similar role;
  • Experience in building technical specifications;
  • Experience in editing technical documentation, especially in contributing to tutorials, how-to guides, and preparing the API reference;
  • Contributions to the open-source ML community (code, docs, tutorials, technical blog posts);
  • Experience programming in R or Julia;
  • Experience with jobs-to-be-done and product-led marketing frameworks.

We offer:

  • Fully remote work and flexible working hours;
  • A place on a team where:
    • good technical content is something we care about,
    • when we do things, we understand why,
    • you fully own and drive your projects (extreme ownership, zero micromanagement);
  • The thrill of building a world-class product for some of the most innovative people on earth;
  • Startup atmosphere and a lot of autonomy;
  • Competitive salary (inflation-indexed) and opportunity to participate in the Employee Stock Option Plan;
  • 20 paid service-free days per year;
  • Co-financing of Multisport card, private medical care, and free lunch if you ever happen to be at the office.
