Head of People

As a Head of People, you will own the strategy and execution of making neptune.ai a great place for the top minds. You will focus on identifying and executing people-focused strategies aligned with the company’s goals and values. Our team is a bunch of experts, the majority with dev and tech-focused roles, who own part of the company – the majority holds options or shares.

At Neptune, we are passionate about giving ML teams the same level of control and confidence when building and operating models as software developers have when shipping applications. We’re one of the most recognizable tools in the MLOps industry, with over 40k ML engineers and data scientists using the platform and 200k+ ML practitioners visiting our blog monthly.

• HR functions:
  • Own the Performance Evaluation process and manager reviews
  • Provide coaching to employees and managers
  • Be the central person for people’s inquiries
  • Provide general onboarding for new employees
  • Proactively address remote work challenges and promote a strong remote team culture
    
• Recruitment management:
  • Own and maintain the Hiring plan and provide budgeting information to the Head of Finance
  • Manage TAP
  • Coordinate external support if needed
  • Participate in the recruitment process – offer negotiation, pre-onboarding; provide support on other stages based on current needs
• Payroll and benefits administration:
  • Co-own the compensation package with the Head of Finance & CEO
  • Maintain and adjust the benefits package
  • Maintain and execute the equipment policies
  • Coordinate external payroll
  • Supervise contracts function

• Native-level written and spoken English
• 2+ years experience in a fully remote organisation
• 4+ years experience in HR leadership roles in a rapidly growing organisation
• 2+ years experience in a high-paced recruitment role (technical roles)
• 3+ years experience working in an international environment
• Based in Europe

• Startup or Scale-up experience
• Dev-focused work environment experience
• Presentation skills, experience with public speaking
• Additional studies/courses, for example, NVC, negotiation, mediation, coaching certification
• Executives coaching experience
