Technical Writer
Remote (EMEA)As a Technical Writer, you will significantly impact the quality of the user experience by developing and contributing to our product documentation. In this position, you will have a chance to talk with technical people working in the exciting area of machine learning and, with time, take full ownership of several docs sub-areas.
You will be a part of our growing Technical Writing team (meet our Documentation Lead, @Sabine), collaborating with other product team members, developer advocates, and software engineers.
At Neptune, we have quite an ambitious goal of becoming an MLOps standard for data scientists worldwide. Our platform is a metadata repository built for research and production teams that run multiple ML experiments. We design Neptune to be extensible, flexible, and lightweight to ensure it fits any workflow and keeps up with this fast-paced field.

- create, maintain, and improve our product documentation, such as setup instructions, usage tips, tutorials, and reference materials;
- contribute to user-facing documentation in the Neptune-client libraries and web interface
- maintain and update code examples in collaboration with Developer Advocates;
- use Neptune’s product to understand feature specifications and help identify areas for improvements;
- correct and clarify documentation based on feedback from various channels;
- help standardize the structure, presentation, style, and content language across our product.
- 1+ years of experience producing software documentation, API documentation, or similar technical content;
- Excellent written English communication skills;
- You are comfortable working with Python code;
- Knowledge of HTML and Markdown;
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems;
- Familiarity with the Linux command line;
- Ability to work in the EMEA time zone.
- Educational background (degree or ongoing studies) in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or Data Science;
- Knowledge of Data Science and Machine Learning;
- Experience with static site generators (SSGs) and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD);
- Experience working with GitHub or GitLab;
- Familiarity with the DevOps tooling ecosystem;
- Software development experience in Python, JavaScript, or other suitable languages.
